Initial consultation
The clinic and dispensary are at my home in Newton Ferrers.
An initial consultation takes about an hour: properly discussing all aspects of your health, taking your blood pressure and any appropriate examination. Home visits are possible within the Plymouth/South Hams area.
Home visits are possible within the Plymouth/South Hams area if you have limited transport, I can come to you. On-line option (Zoom or WhatsApp) especially for follow ups, once we have already met in person.
Follow up appointments
Follow up appointments – usually 30 minutes to review progress, continue discussing your condition and adjust the prescription when necessary.
Repeat prescriptions – just phone, email or message and I can pop them in the post to you. This incurs a small dispensing charge, packaging and postage.
Remedies
For general coughs, colds, aches and pains, with a few questions I have some ‘off the shelf ‘ remedies, including cough syrups (Elderberry/Thyme & liquorice/Rose base), Post-viral tonic, Soothing skin ointment, Warming muscle rub, Sleepy tea, Hay-fever tea and Milk thistle capsules (liver support).
Safety
Herbal medicine has an outstanding safety record. Herbalists grow or source high quality medicines. Plants contain a wide array of phyto chemicals and are far less likely to cause side effects than pharmaceutical medicines. We are trained in any herb/drug interactions and work in a collaborative way with other health practitioners.
